Create your own visitor map! Counters I've lived on the island of Puerto Rico for 35 years. The longer I live here the more I see and appreciate the beauty of the island. There is a "hidden Puerto Rico" that many tourists never see and even those of us who have lived on the island for decades continue to discover new layers of beauty. It is quite a lovely place.

Caption: La Mona is a nature reserve 50 miles west of Puerto Rico. Its waters are pristine, some of the most beautiful in the Caribbean. Below the divers the wall plumets 250 feet to the ocean floor. After that it tumbles into the abyss.
