Create your own visitor map! Counters I've lived on the island of Puerto Rico for 35 years. The longer I live here the more I see and appreciate the beauty of the island. There is a "hidden Puerto Rico" that many tourists never see and even those of us who have lived on the island for decades continue to discover new layers of beauty. It is quite a lovely place.

Caption: Summer in a sense is eternal in Puerto Rico. Fall in the Caribbean does not bring changing leaves and cold weather. Rather, rains and beautiful sunsets. This sunset lights up the western sea (Mona Passage) just off the island as rain falls near Desecheo island, an uninhabited island twelve miles off the coast of the mainland.
