Great images! Where you were relative to the storm is very close, and I have seen numerous CG lightning bolts from that region of the storm. I am glad you didn't get a bolt! Keep that shutter flying! Good luck!

WOW! Great perspective! I guess I should have known it was farther east than Martindale, since I got a few raindrops from it between Buda and Kyle about an hour before my shot. Thanks for sharing, Its great to see it from different angles, John Congratulations on your AC.

Also ... just FYI... I was not zoomed in on this cloud formation. In fact, I was almost in my neighbor's yard in order to get a wide enough shot.
Yeah ... I'm proud of this photo! ;-D

Quoting Maggoo:
Fabulous shot! Is this perhaps the same cloud formation that 'freakofnature' also posted a photo of?

Yup Magoo... 'freakofnature''s photo is from quote a distance away. Mine was taken within about 10-15 minutes after it had passed directly over my location.

And I have to give props to my photography teacher from when I was in high school ages & eons ago. She taught us well! Thanks Ms. Sudgen!! :D

We received some dime sized hail from this & about a tenth of an inch of rain. This was actually taken closer to the Creedmoor/Mustang Ridge area, just off US Hwy 183.
And thanks y'all! :D

Holy moly, Joyce! That's the same cloud I photographed and submitted. You, being in Buda - just a bit northwest of me, got the perfect angle to capture the base. What an awesome shot! Did you get any rain out of this? Lockhart didn't get a drop.

This pic is going in my Favorites! :)
