A small island in Rivière des Prairies. After all the colors are gone, we are looking forward getting some snow the cheer the view. The looming sky though is particular to this time of the year.

Hi DB..thanks for your kind comments on my photos..love this one of the dark skies..amazing how all the gallery photos are becoming darker and darker with the approaching winter season..soon all will be bright and white! I do enjoy our immediate area so much..it is so beautiful with so much to offer by way of photography..that is one reason why I so enjoy this site..makes one notice the little things much more and truly appreciate the bigger ones so much more! regards..susan Action: \| Ignore User

Thanks suzi46, mw and fm for your comments. This is our reality at this time of year, very grey and shorter days. We've been having an Indian Summer for the last 3 days, but never like what we have with the colorful October. This is the first though in November, probably global warming =(.
