Okay this is one heck of an image... very sad!!!
Generally when there is this kind of flooding people have somewhere safe to go, and they have boats of some type...so sad that these people have neither..

Yeah , its was just terrible to see this people with nowhere to go and nothing to keep them safe and off the water...

Very powerful and moving series. So terribly sorry for your situation down there.
Quoting Dawnlisa:
Flooding is a sad story, where ever it happens, but usually it is the poor people that suffer the most, when they have already been suffering poverty for most of their lives. Stay safe.

Thank you all , its just terrible to see the people with the least resources suffer the most and seeing the corrupt government in the DR offering little to no help at all...

So sad...these photo's. Shared...hopefully brings more awareness to those who aren't taking Irene seriously.

I hope people did realize that any hurricane no matter their strength should not be taken as a joke...

Thanks everyone for your comments! But well its been less than a week since Irene past over the DR and its just terrible to see that the government's response to this disaster is slow and disorganized and that many of this people are still suffering and even dying due to lack of food ,shelter and even water , just a sad scene to see...
