This would be such an exciting even for me. I get really excited when I see 6 or 8 deer.

This was nicely captured and thank you for sharing.

Congratulations on your AC!

They won't need to mow here for awhile, but may have to do some scooping up. A wonderful shot of these wonderful animals!

Great shot of the elk grazing as if they own the place. Just trying to survive and find food.....in this case a nice yard! Excellent shot!!!

I'm glad you liked the picture, Mike. Yes, you
sure have to keep your eyes open and your
speed down when you are going up some of the
mountains roads. It's worth the effort,
though!

Really enjoyed this pic. A few years ago I was driving on Grapevine Road from I-70 to Kittridge when a big bull elk jumped across the hood of my car. He clipped his front hooves on my right front fender about 8 inches in front of the windshield. It left 2 sizable dents. He ran off without missing a stride. I hate to think about what would have happened if I were to be going a little faster. They are amazingly powerful animals.

Thanks for your comments, Maria and Mara!
I have never been to Yellowstone. As long as
I have lived out West, I find that hard to
believe, myself. I've got to get up there!

Neat shot! The elk are real tame at Mammoth in Yellowstone too and lolly-gag on the park headquarter's manicured lawns.

It is, although it is most definitely not a
rare occurance. They are in the mountain
towns a lot. You can see a couple people
with bicycles watching them, too up on the
right. Thanks, Delana.
