Cow Fight I

Uploaded by: ColoradoKat

Hotchkiss, CO (Current Weather Conditions)

Caption: Two cows got into a head-buitting, pushing match, and our Pack o' Black sprang into action, trying to get the baby out of harm's way and trying to break up the fight. They got the baby out of the way, but the pushing and shoving continued out into the field and went on for a while. They were both fine at the end of it all. No one got hurt,.

Thanks Surf, Nikongranny and Arbie. They
are really good dogs. They got them moved out to the open field and away from the other
animals all on instinct. We didn't train them
for this and I was impressed. They did great.

I used to see the cows in the fields where I grew up doing this, but never in an enclosed space like this. What really amazes me though, is the reaction of the dogs. What great dogs!

Have to add my 10 on this. Love to see action shots in the animal world. Have had labs and they are intelligent animals.

I was mostly worried about the baby, but the
dogs got him cut out and he ran into the barn.

Thanks! The dogs did a good job of getting
that baby out of there. It was interesting
to watch them work.
