Vail, CO (Current Weather Conditions)

Caption: This was taken As I was stuck (again) in very slow construction zone traffic, this time just shy of the summit of Vail Pass, the second of three passes I go over on my way from Hotchkiss to Denver. Not much snow, but lots of colorful rockface, green trees and blue, blue sky!

I was glad to have to slow down, so I could
see these things for once, Heidrun.
Those little trees on the ledge will be completely covered with snow, as will
the rocks, before long. They are young and
supple enough that they can take it, somehow.
They'll be standing upright again in Spring.
