Storming The Beach… In Slow-Motion

pond, NY

Caption: A Sneaky Turtle™ hits the beach…

We have not wings, we cannot soar;
But we have feet to scale and climb
By slow degrees, by more and more,
The cloudy summits of our time.

Thanks!

And yeah, I thought the snippet from the poem fit this pic just perfectly.

What a great catch - two in one! Great capture
of both and the setting is beautiful too - the
water and the rocks. Pretty photo! Thanks for
sharing the beauty and peace! Love the poetry
monologue! Cute!

Hey, thanks!

Yeah, that's where the cormorant usually suns himself, and where the turtles come up to do the same.

From a distance, the turtles are *really* hard to see, as they look just like rocks. I didn't even see the critter 'til I looked at the pic on the big screen!

Thanks and thanks!

Yeah, we got cormorants here. Quite a few, or maybe I'm just seeing the same ones over and over again.

I was going to add to the caption, "...and the cormorant couldn't care less.", but forgot. :D
