Thanks Madermade. I could see lightening to the left as it was traveling from left to right or north to south and was glad to drive under the front side before the bad stuff came through. Especially didn't want my new car dented up with hail which it didn't actually produce until it was further south.

It's a stretch of road from New Smyrna Beach to I-4. Still thousands of acres of pine and palmetto scrub; considered a Florida wildlife corridor.
