Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!!! I read all of your comments and it is one of the main reasons I keep posting. My family and I moved to Anchorage, Alaska this summer (2009) from Orlando, Florida. My photos have improved with the help of observing the great pictures that you have all posted and by the ratings that you have given my photos. I feel fortunate to have found this site and to be part of this great community.
Climb the mountains and get their good tidings.
Nature's peace will flow into you as sunshine flows into trees.
The winds will blow their own freshness into you...
while cares will drop off like autumn leaves. John Muir

In certain respects, incredibly, this is an even greater image than its brother, which is captioned "Raise the shade, please."!
Especially noteworthy is the leftmost, greatest mountain, where the top is obscured by cloud, but the steep angle of slope of the sides of the mountain would certainly make one expect it would rise well above the long, thin cloud.
This contributes a certain Surrealism to the scene, and hence a kind of bright magic, that wins the human mind and spirit to soaring speculations!
