Really bad shit happened. Nature strikes back - again and again. I am so sorry with all the damaged lifes. Would it be better to build houses in concret or bricks in stead of light wood? Just a thought, because the weather shurely will going stronger and stronger in the future. Its a challenge for structural engineer and architects to avoid these effects. And when people get hurt, money don't should be a argument I think.

Anyway, thank you from Ruhr with love,
me, the eyepilot >

Congratulations to you on capturing such impressive & informative images of such a terrifying event. Thank goodness, here in the UK such extreme weather conditions are very rare indeed. I'm very sorry to hear that some people lost their lives and wish everyone well who were affected by the tornado.

Great shot. Sights like this make me glad to live in Michigan where we don't see too many tornadoes.

Thank you all for all of your comments, praise, and sympathy. I am glad I was able to share some of the devastation from my area and put an on the ground perspective to the news reports. This has been a terrible tragedy for North Carolina with 22 lives lost over 80 injured and millions in damage, this is a hard hit in these tough economic times. Thank you for keeping the victims in your thoughts and prayers.

How very sad a situation. Hope no one was injured or that slight injuries resulted.

Unfortunately, nature doesn't care, so we must endure her violence.

Excellent reporting series.

Congratulations on your AC series.

Thanks for posting photos. My thoughts are with those who have suffered losses. We hear about this in Australia but don't really see much of the visuals of the disaster
