Jacksonport, AR (Current Weather Conditions)

Caption: just who ordered all this water, guess that just means more for us dogs to play in. These three were wet, having a ball running and playing in the water. This is leading to the boat ramp at the Jacksonport State Park, and is now flooded. The river has rose over 9 feet in the last 24 hrs and is at close to 22 feet...flood stage is 26 feet and expected to get between 32 and 34 feet by Friday.

Thanks Regina, DB and Lori for the comments! Regina, we just might take you up on that, hehehe. We have had Tornado Warnings and Severe Thunderstorm Warnings since about 3 pm, and still going strong...oh and can't forget all the heavy rainfall.

Delana, anytime you and your family would like to dry out a little, come on over! At least until our rainy season starts which will not be, again, until late Fall...
Stay safe!

Thanks Ralf and Ivan for the comments! Our town of Jacksonport has only been flooded once in my lifetime, we do have a levee, but that is not a sure protection.

Thanks Kat for the comment! There was several touchdowns of tornados in Ar last night, and Vilonia got hit hard I know. We had numerous Tornado Warnings in a lot of the counties, just wish I wasn't working and could have got some pics.

Cute dogs, but, wow that's a lot of water!
I hope you are far from the potential flooding!
I also just read about a horrible tornado in
Arkansas..I hope that didn't come your way!
The weather has been so weird evrywhere this
Spring. Stay safe, Delana!

Thanks Boaz for the comment! Not sure how much our levee will hold, maybe 36 feet. We may have to start moving things upstairs :)
