shenandoah, IA (Current Weather Conditions)

Caption: Live,,from the BWS [BathroomWindowStudio] in downtown Shenandoah! This is in one 'take'...there was some wicked strikes around,,but no rain in town!! These little cells just skirted the perimeter as usual....hopefully later today we will get some refreshing rain..It had been very humid all day and evening..lots of atmosphere for this display to cut thru...Too bad that darned power pole and trees are in the way, right?!! Maybe I'll chop it down! Started here about 2 a.m. Sunday

LOL! IT's been knocked down before with one powerful seven years or so ago!! Knocked the neighbors [behind the pole] beautiful tall fir tree onto the wires, and snapped this new pole in half!!! luckily,,it didn't pull our service out from the house like it did our next door neighbors...quite the spectacle,,the power co. did an excellent and decent job or replacing it,,:) Thanks Bernard!

With storms like that, you will not have to chop down the pole, a coming storm will do the job for you. I just hope the pole is not too close to your BWS.

The power pole and trees just add to the overall interest of the shot. I like it just the way it is! Have a good 4th, Mindi!

About BEME

BEME

Hi KIDDIES!!! O.K.,,there seems to be a bit of confusion about this photo,,,I AM on the left,,a gal!![MINDI],,and the right-hand pic is of BOB my hubby!! I cloned the two images together,,of us taking pics of each other,,so we could give you folks an idea of who we are,,replacing the previous photo of our two favorite eagle family youngsters...We live in Shenandoah,Ia.,,and enjoy [especially me] taking lots of pictures!! I do most of the posting on here,,that's MY thing..and I try to put up Bobs when he takes some good ones...I would also like for you to check out the older ones from time,to time,,I like to share my images,,though not always the greatest,,just to give you an idea what life is sometimes like here in S.W. Iowa.. I came out here from the East Coast and interior New England, where I lived until 1992,,I also lived in Philly for a few years, and Bob is born and raised here in Shenandoah.,,but loves other places that we have visited too. I am happy to have found this site to learn how to take better photos,,meet new people, and make new friends, and be dazzled by what folks share of their 'world'in pictures on here. THANK YOU WuNDERGROUND! I appreciate all your kind words and mail, and critique as much as I enjoy giving back in kind! SHARE THE LOVE!!
