Photography has been a hobby since high school, but the advent of digital photography has opened up a whole new world. I enjoy being out of doors, skiing, mountain climbing and sailing get us into the elements. My camera is always along. My wife and I sail the New England coast aboard our sailboat, Orinoco. The ocean, ports and all the remote anchorages provide endless photographic opportunities. Any comments (good or otherwise) are always welcome. Suggestions for improving my technique are especially appreciated. Create your own visitor map!

Caption: The remnants of hurricane Noel passed just east of us this afternoon. Narragansett Bay experienced sustained winds over 40 mph with gusts over 60 mph. Most sailors got their boats to safe harbor, but some were not so fortunate. Five boats broke free of their moorings in Dutch Harbor. Four of them ended up on the rocks. This one hit very hard
