Jekyll Island, GA (Current Weather Conditions)

Caption: Jekyll Island before dawn, a 100 second exposure of one of the fallen oak trees on Driftwood Beach...

Image Description: Driftwood Beach at Jekyll Island is filled with old oak trees. The trees have been dragged into the sea or lay like waiting soldiers where the waves have eroded the sand around their roots. This image was captured at dawn, about 45 minutes before the sun came up. The sky was a clear deep blue with a touch of golden color along the horizon where the sun was waiting to show up. The tide was low, tidal pools surrounding the old roots and adding stripes in the wet sand as the tide and waves receded...

Thanks a lot for stopping by friends! We are having such fun here and it has finally warmed up. This image was captured at about the 39 degree F level with windy conditions. Hands were freezing on that early dawn beach!!
