Caption: No way to tell which way the weather was going to develop , but we continued our hike through the high valley. The clouds were fun to watch as they moved along the rugged mountain range.

Thank you for taking the time to look in on my gallery Dave, Shirley, Bill and Duane ! All these shifting clouds were fascinating to watch- although I had to watch my step, too. It was a well maintained trail, but there are always rocks or roots sticking out.Wouldn`t want to take a spill....

Thank you for your wonderful description, Kat ! This high valley is another example of a U-shaped glacial cirque and it was wonderful hiking through it , ascending gradually till you got to the steeper part where the maintained trail was winding it`s way to the top.

I like the way the two mountains on the side sweep down and direct your eye to the
long stretch of green grass that draws your eye right back up to the big mountain
and the markings on the mountainside point you right up into the clouds! I had to
fight the urge to say "Wheeeeeee!" What a wonderful visual ride that was! Love
that fence, too! Fantastic addition to an already fantastic series, Heidrun!
