You have so many great dramatic shots ... I really am in the mood today to like this one best, because it's so unique. :-)

Thank you, Patty ! Unfortunaltely the mood of this snowy scene has vanished quickly , since the temperatures warmed up and we have been blessed with fog and gray skies most of the time !

Why did they take out so many more trees than
just the damaged ones? Are they planning a
development in this area? For some reason, it
makes me a little sad to see see this pile of
the fallen, as the four survivors look on.

Beautiful soft shades of blue and white
decorating the freshly cut trees. Homes
and food for much wildlife destroyed -
and for what good reason? Hopefully they
had a really good reason for cutting that
many trees at once. Lovely snow photo!

Very expressive image Heidrun! Sometimes I wish it wasn't necessary to chop down such beautiful trees!

A lot of firewood, when it dries out!

That`s right, Duane !
But they have denuded whole slopes around town and the cutting goes on.Makes me sad that a lot of our favorite trails through these woods have simply disappeared.
