So pretty and great that you actually hike in the snow! Can't imagine doing that. The few times we have had snow that lingered, was so neat as I could see that the woods actually had a huge incline or hill in it and I could see the deer - they could not hide and even perhaps wild turkey right here in the woods in my neighborhood.

Xaver`s swath reached all the way down to Austria and some areas got more snow than we did. With northerly winds , my valley usually doesn`t get much snow, except some that is driven by the wind over the mountains. And so it was with Xaver.
I was just happy to get a little bit of white stuff.

The sky was overcast - it had just stopped snowing , no sun in sight !The scene simply appealed to me!
