Nice, but it was a bit too far away for me to see to which philosophy the person adheres. There are those who put the bark up and those who put the bark down. In Germany the wood has to be stored for a year before it can be used, and that prevents a lot of smoke when it is being burned.

What blows me away is how precise the stacks are,
and I can't imagine the man hours it took to cut
all that wood and stack it with such precision.As
for your actual photo, what I like is the light
and shadow play. You have caught the dappled sun-
light beautifully as it highlights the high points on
the dimpled snow in the foreground. This is
really beautiful, Heidrun!
