Wow! Wonderful catch Heidrun. Fantastic!

They are truly Deer, but in the Western States of the U.S. They have always been known as Elk. (not sure of the Eastern States).. (much bigger than the normal size Mule Deer or White Tail Deer).

Yes - deer, they are kept on a small farm over the winter!
There is a second older buck there too, but he decided not to join the group for lunch !

How nice that they have a place to come and maybe
get a bite to eat when the grass is buried! That is
one big, handsome buck! Or is it two? Looks like
all ages are welcome at this party! Beautiful
animals and beautiful shot, Heidrun!
