I was able to get down to the beach on Long Beach, Long Island. Going there I passed through the town of Oceanside. Such devastation. I cried as I on my way to Long Beach, which is about 20 minutes from my house. This photo is of a portion of the boardwalk on Long Beach that totally collapsed.

Very sad. A lot of destruction there and the news has forgotten much of it already. I know it's quite a mess there still.

Oh, Linda! This is such a sorry state of affairs! Your documentation of this destruction is so vivid, and heartwrenching. I cry with you.

I can only put myself in all of your places and imagine the heartbreak and sadness. My God. I have no words to express how deeply my heart aches because this happened, but I believe in prayers and Im praying hard for everything to get better very quickly. God bless all of you.
