If it wasn't for the clouds, I'd say this was taken at Planet Mars! But I don't believe there is any clouds on the Mars sky. Great shot.
I used to have a photo I saved several years back from either Spaceweather, or maybe some magazine, anyway I used to show it a few people along with one of my own shots showing the Rio Grande gorge at Cerro NM, and pointed the similarities between those 2 photos.
