Manhattan, KS (Current Weather Conditions)

Caption: Littlefoot and the gang were already gone by the time Rocky arrived, late, at the meeting place. That's why he was never part of the adventures the other dinosaurs went on. I have no idea what this tiny bug is, but it was conspicuously on the center of a Black-eyed Susan.

P.S...I love how there are 'ray's in your 'bokeh/dof! Backgrounds [to me] are sometimes more surprisingly pleasing than I realize..so I have to remember what's behind what I'm shooting..so much to think about!

OMW KEVIN!!! This is SOOO COOOOL!! And,,I'm still chuckling over your narrative as well!! Say,,pard,,I think you have a way with words!! Fantastic capture..I have never seen one of these, well, not with my camera for sure,,I'll have to be on the look-out,,usually the tiniest things I see on the flowers are those neat little yellow spiders,a cicada, beetle,or bee...Now,,I'll have to see if you photographed that with the fly?? Awesome series!Excellent detail!

Hey, thanks all! I went out today to look and found this (or another) one which had captured a fly about 3x it's size. Pretty amazing!

About tamcat

tamcat

My name is Kevin N. Weinhold, and somehow I ended up posting photos on an account with my wife's nickname (sorry for any confusion!). I used to think that photos were too two-dimensional, not really capturing the real person or scene, but now I understand why: without God we are all two-dimensional, but there is a much richer world behind those photos. I hope you find something in my photos beyond my view of God's creation; I'm looking forward to seeing your photos, too!
