Frozen Pipe Fiasco

Caption: Well, this was a first. 54 years in this house and NOW I get a frozen heat pipe? This puppy was buried under the foundation and froze up solid. No heat in -3 temps can be very unpleasant. Thankfully, a very smart young man named Keith fixed it all up for me. Man, it's cooooooold outside.

Thanks so much hoecat. My daughter loves to do nails. She is an artist. Something to do during these long coooooold winter nights. Speaking of cold I was told by my oil company to keep my heat up just a bit higher than usual because pipes freeze quick. It also is a great idea to keep a faucet leaking like you said. I sure don't want to go through this again too soon. Keep warm.

Wow Debbie, that's gotta stink getting frozen pipes. Were suppose to get down to -13 on Monday night, coldest in 20 years for this neck of the woods. That doesn't even count the windchill !!! I'm gonna keep the water dripping that night for sure !!! Like Katy said, you're nails are pretty.
Stay warm Debbie :)

About stoneygirl

stoneygirl

My name is Debbie and I live in Central Massachusetts. I am a mom of 2, a grandma to Jace and a "Mama Stone" (as I'm called) to about 25 rental kids as I call them. I consider myself to be a serious maybe even (as all my kids would say, "Obsessed" photographer. If it moves I photograph it, if breaths I photograph it, if it doesn't breath I photograph it and if it doesn't move I photograph it even more. Ok, so my kids are right, I'm obsessed. I never leave home with out it, my camera that is. I've always loved photography but as I've headed into my mid-life crisis period I have begun to open my eyes to more of the wonder around me. Why it took so long I don't know but look out world I have arrived. Now I have a thirst to make up for lost time and I love Wunderground and all of the wunderful photographers I get to share my world with. I absolutely love seeing everyones photos from around the world and for that I thank all of you for your wonderful generosity for sharing them with me and us on this great site. Smile say cheese now!!Large Visitor Globe
