Corn cribs! Those were the days.
Rats would take residence in the ear corn. They could breed for rat generations and never have to leave the crib, until the crib was emptied.

The warm wood and sharp focus appeals to me. Am enjoying it on my desktop.
Happy New Year, Kim.

Quoting GOATGAL:
Love the mix of nostalgic and new. Not very many ancient corn cribs still standing anywhere. The capture of color highlighting it vs the other is neat. Any clue of how old the crib is?

My guess 1915-1920 for the wood crib, 40's for the wire crib and 60's for the metal bins. Its a three generation image.

About ruralartist

ruralartist

There's just something about the weather that fascinates me, perhaps its living on the great plains. Our daily lives are influenced by it and living on a land with no mountains, big ravines, waterfalls, trees and such tends to make the sky the star of the show here. Hope you enjoy perusing my images. -Kim
