I grew up where these huge Mothership formations were fairly common, but this is one of the most dramatic and perfectly organized ones I have ever seen.
I am willing to bet that the rain this monster produced strangled a few toads.

Well Done!

I can only dream. With this 100+ degree heat over the Sacramento Valley, I can't take it anymore. The humidity is unbearable for us. Granted, it's nothing like the south, but we're not used to this mugginess. That cold front would be one welcome sight here.

Quoting LarryD:
HOLY COW! You can quit taking pictures now. You won't ever get anohter one with this much drama in it. Man what a shot. Both of them. Very cool. You didn't get any damage did you? I slept through the whole thing!

Oh my, thank you so much everyone! And thank you Approvers. This was the biggest and most organized structure I have ever seen, it formed pretty quickly and yes Larry we did get the wind. 46m.p.h. and 1.70" of rain. It rained so hard I couldn't see the barn from the house!

Amazing shot. Probably one of the finest you will ever get!!! I know there have been some interesting stuff out there today, but all I could see here in town was trees and houses. This will have to show up in the world view!! Congratts and 10+++++ from your friend in SW Iowa
