Quoting Tishu:
Are you getting more rain this year? Last year was awful dry for you, wasn't it?
I appreciate your comments Mellyweb, Tishu, Trudy, Kevin and MTdisk.
Yes Tishu we are getting some goodly rains here this spring and now that we are into June it seems that the pattern is continuing. We are grateful to have over five inches of rain last month, many of the dry ponds and low lakes are filling up and the hay crop is looking good. Usually hay around here goes for 3.50@ bale, last year it was going for 14.00.

LOL!! SO DO I!! In fact,,we left our 'having coffee' place about 2 this afternoon, and looking to the west,it looked pretty dark, and then toward the S/W a bit there too,,and figured someone in NEB was going to get a good soaking,,I'm so happy to see your image, and GLAD! You got to breathe in the sweet,mineral-fresh rain fragrance! It started sprinkling here an hour ago, just as I was finishing up with the rose blossom trimming,,went inside for a few minutes, and then back out,and that 'smell' hit me too,,I love it after it hits the hot pavement..Ahhhhh! I LOVE YOUR scene here,,because that corn sure looks like it needed a fresh drink!! EXCELLENT A/C!!:))-Mindi

About ruralartist

ruralartist

There's just something about the weather that fascinates me, perhaps its living on the great plains. Our daily lives are influenced by it and living on a land with no mountains, big ravines, waterfalls, trees and such tends to make the sky the star of the show here. Hope you enjoy perusing my images. -Kim
