The Opuntia family is one of the largest (and most misidentified Cactus, but I think what you have here is the Opuntia basilaris or Beavertail Cactus. First rate picture, but one with a better view of the center of the flowers and of the cactus pads would make a better picture. But this photo shows a definite eye for cactus flowers and for striking photographs. I'll look forward to seeing more of your work.
