Poughkeepsie, NY (Current Weather Conditions)

Caption: It was an errand afternoon, but as the skies got darker, and the wind whipped up, we went to the top (6th) story of the parking garage for a view across the river, and top of the Mid-Hudson Bridge. A lot of wind, lightning, thunder, and rain. Waited out the storm one parking level down. A virtual waterfall ran off the slate roof of the former Poughkeepsie Journal building. Kids didn't want me out of the car though, so couldn't catch that shot. We had fun watching!

This doesn't look anywhere near as dramatic as it felt, I'll say that! At this point, it was still just cloudy and windy where we were. But there are radio/cell towers on that ridge that are being hidden by swiftly moving weather, and my kids were freaking out, not wanting me outside the car, due to lightning. Thanks for commenting!

Naw, I'd be all over that storm like stink on a monkey!

We had some bursts of pouring rain, but nothing "dramatic" to show for it other than water going down the drain soooooo slooooooowly in the backyard.
