Morning Frost on the Vehicles

Mahomet, IL (Current Weather Conditions)

Caption: Clear sky and single digit temperature brought out the frost on the vehicles in the driveway. The snow flake configuration likely formed on a dust particle on the automobile's finish. Maybe I will put off washing the car until the frost season is over. We have no snow on the ground now.

Thanks for the caption, as I was wondering what surface the ice crystal was on. It sure does look like a perfect snowflake and I've seen actual snowflake photos that didn't look as good.

Many of my pictures are taken on my morning run. In the years before digital cameras, I saw lots of transient natural phenomena worthy of being photographed, but camera equipment was too big and bulky to carry while running. Now there are small versatile digital cameras available that can do most everything that used to take a case of equipment.
