I used to live in Salt Lake City and on June 13 of 2002, I called my Mother in Dallas to with her a Happy Birthday. As I was talking on the phone, I was watching the snow fall outside my kitchen window. Granted, we were up in the foothills, but being a Texas, by June 13, we have our AC's going full blast so the snow was quite a surprise.

Thanks to everyone for your kind comments. The poor deer ARE really hungry and yes, we do feed them a little everyday since Jan. This is their winter yard up area as there are a lot of cedar trees. The poor little ones can't reach up very high anymore to feed so I especially feel sorry for them. They seem to be looking OK though and I hope the snow will soon melt.

About norman333

I'm not from the UP, but I got here as soon as I could ! Locating from Plymouth MI to Calumet MI (as of Dec 1st, 2009) is the most exciting thing to happen in a long time. It's been a lifelong dream and it was worth all the work that it took to get here. The weather here is fascinating and I'm sure it will only get more exciting as we settle in.
