I have noticed that remontance happens often to plants after hurricanes. The Bradford pear and Indian hawthorns have a few sprigs blooming, the river birch releafed, and this German iris that didn't bloom in spring decided to do so for the Autumnal Equinox! Sweet Autumn wishes to all my Wunderfriends!
