Chuckling.....no, Debster, our waters are the color of beer because so much of it drains out of peat moss swamps which give it that brown look. No mud at all. :-)

Whoa! Looks like a lot of mud in that water...must have been heavy rains upstream. Congratulations on your approver's choice!

Thanks ever so much, Gil!! It was a grand day out climbing around the falls area!! Wish you could have been there with your camera, too!!

Thanks so much, Arlene! After days and days of rain we knew the water was going to really be strong over the falls, that's why we drove up there---it's about 80 miles but sure was worth the drive! The whole north shore was great that day! Sure wish you could have seen it in person!

Thanks so much for leaving a note, Gary! It was unusual for there to be this much water over these falls---normally they're just a trickle in comparison! Wish you could see it in person, too!

About minnesotamom

minnesotamom

Hi! My name is Kathy and I live in northern Minnesota, USA, where the winter temps have dipped down to -60º below zero F. The summers used to be mild but in recent years have been up in the 90ºs---too hot for me. I love being able to travel the world from my office chair, through all your great photos! I've learned tons about photography and editing photos thanks to all the great people on here and their willingness to share tips. Thank you to all you Wunderfriends who take time to look and leave notes---I deeply appreciate it. :-)free hit countersCreate your own visitor map!
