You do get some strong strikes there in the mountains. Do stay safe - and hope no one was injured by this felled tree.

I have enjoyed photography as a hobby in my youth and teens, was professionally educated in photography and graphic arts, and was gainfully employed in the photographic trades for 30 years. Recently I like most everyone else has discovered the ease of digital photography, and I find myself having to re-learn many of the exposure tricks that I had become quite confidant with , using film, and now having to apply that science to EV control and noise control, and new terms I never knew in the photographic darkroom. Its a very enjoyable experience.
