Caption: Last night was the most spectacular meteor shower I have seen in my life. Saw hundreds of meteors and captured 36 on camara. This was one of my favorites. I believe Jupiter is on the left.

Beautiful!

And yes that's Jupiter to the right of Taurus, and the Pleiades are a little lower to the right of Jupiter.

The astrometry group on flickr will tag stars for you if you submit photos to it.

Well done, Mike, and thank you for sharing.

We sure won't get to see any meteors in our
part of the country. Too cloudy.

Congratulations on your new AC.

About mbryan777

mbryan777

Hello. My name is Mike. I moved from a very large city in California to a small city in northeastern Oklahoma, USA. I am enjoying the slower lifestyle in Oklahoma and taking pictures of flowers, sunsets, sunrises, clouds, storms insects and hills. I have an engineering degree, but I minored in Biology so I really enjoy studying nature and how God engineered it. I've always loved photography but digital macro photography and weather photography are my favorites. Slowing down to study the small things, like flowers, has continually reminded me that God gives us many blessings that are simply for our pleasure and He is the designer of beauty.
