How delightful, and magical! It's good to know that these traditions and fairs are still celebrated around the country....wish they had that around the Midwest..they probably do as there are Scandinavian, and Norwegian cultures here in Iowa.I just don't know..I love this photo and series Betsy!! Thank You for sharing, and reminding us to cherish the natural resources our planet/and the Gods give us!! Cheers!!Love the Scandinavian romance!! :))

Me, too! Being Scandinavian, and enjoying life without TV (but don't take my computer away from me!), I appreciate that these long time traditions are being kept alive. Fun series, Betsy!

About luvne32

Thousands of tired, nerve-shaken, over-civilized people are beginning to find out that going to the mountains is going home; that wilderness is a necessity; and that mountain parks and reservations are useful not only as fountains of timber and irrigating rivers, but as FOUNTAINS OF LIFE. ------ John Muir
