Santander, Spain

Caption: Iridescent clouds; Yesterday Sunday around the 17:00 hours and in some conditions very individuals I could photograph iridescent clouds of a chromatic range excepcinal.Never before had seen them in this way.Yesterday we had a very high temperature (21 centigrade) somewhat exceptional in the month of November in the north from Spain. The south wind blew with an extreme force of almost 80 Km/h.....and upon being produced the sunset appeared the Estratósfera to some 20 kms. of altitude. http://www.wunderground.com/weatherstation/WXDailyHistory.asp?ID=ICANTABR2&month=11&day=15&year=2009

Considering the extreme rarity of this phenomenon & it's magnitude, it's a crying shame they didn't make this an Approver's Choice! Thank You!
Rod
