Ponchatoula, LA (Current Weather Conditions)

Caption: I was glad this snail made a detour in the middle of the frame. I had the tripod set up and in the other gifs he zoomed in and out of the photo area too fast.

Wow, when I saw a Wunderphoto moving, I thought someone musta slipped something into my drink.

This .gif is a gift. Pretty snail. Too big for his shell, I think. "Detour," ha ha.

Photographer's lament -- you have to take dozens of shots to get one really good one.

Thanks for the comments.
LOL yes he zoomed! lol

since I had the camera focused so close, and it was so long, by the time I was able to move the tripod right over where I thought it would go and start the shots I couldn't click off many shots because it would turn and with just a few clicks (maybe 10) was already out of the photo.
10 photos don't make a very smooth gif and also to make it smooth you have to speed up the gif..........lol........you would have only seen the snail for 2 seconds.

You need at least 30 frames to get a smooth looking gif that is not too fast to see what is taking place. Unless you are able to take 60 frames per second and then it is very smooth and actually extremely slows down the action.
Hope this helps someone to understand how to take gifs. :)
