Those have never frozen like that because they were planted after Katrina in 2005.
Katrina wiped out all the palms along the beach. Some oaks made it through the 25 ft surge but of course their roots are much deeper than those palms.

I really don't think they will make it because this freeze from winter storm Leon sent temps pretty cold along the coast for more than just a few hours.
