Caption: yes it is small.....don't laugh too hard. It is my first one. I have gone out to watch the comets, and other meteor showers but never captured anything.

Thanks for the comments everyone. Rodney thanks for your vote of confidence but I don't have a very big view here at the house or any pretty desert cactus or mountain range to make the background interesting. I also don't want to go out at night and sit around someplace by myself to maybe get lucky..... so it is not looking hopeful.

The stars are that far away, Charlotte, but the meteors don't light up until they hit our atmosphere, so are close to us in the same sense that the plane is close to us. A for effort, nice catch!
