Great & beautiful shot. Snowshoe time I think.
Update: Congratulations on the AC!
Thanks Gil,
Actually there were enough hikers that the snow on the trail was packed down and I didn't use snow shoes. But - step off the packed snow and you sunk into the snow up to your knees.

Oh my, oh my, OH MY! It's beautiful, just beautiful... and so BRILLIANT! What's your elevation?

If I have to see snow, I love seeing it like this Ivan!
The map reports elevation at this point, which is where you come out of the forest and onto the ridge as 4400 ft. If you hike to the far end of the Skyline Divide next to Mt. Baker it is 5900 ft. Needless to say I didn't hike that far.

About kippic

kippic

I started taking pictures at a very early age; can't even remember when I got my first small camera. I enjoyed having a dark room during the age of film. Now I use the "light room" (computer) and enjoy taking pictures even more.Living in the Pacific Northwest provides a great opportunity for subjects for photos.
