Thanks for commenting Bernard. Actually the Lake and Mountain got that name because of a joke that one surveyor played on a fellow worker. There are no rattlesnakes on this side of the mountains. Now in Eastern Washington it could be a different story.

If the name of the lake comes from rattlesnakes lurking about, that is one place that I will avoid, even if it is such a beautiful view.
