It's n-n-n-not t-t-t-time yet, K-k-k-Katy!! You say it will vanish
quickly. That's what happens here. We get a cold night, it kills
all the flowers and stops the garden cold, then warms up for
weeks. Oh, well...it's that time of year, but it really does seem
too soon! No mosquitoes...that is the silver lining!

Thanks for stopping by Rick and Karen!

I am lovin' this time of year Karen, it sorts out the population, and thins it considerably.... Fresh crisp mornings, and still long sunny days.

Mosquitoes are gone, right along with the visitors in spandex and day-glo gear. :) You can hear them honking right along with the geese and cranes filling the skies overhead!

Katy---I am so sorry. It is a very cool picture though--- We are hovering around 90+ and I would rather be in the 70's... but maybe we will get a little of fall before the snow falls. Thanks for sharing. :0)

Thank you for stopping by Ivan, Duane and Terry!

I'll do my best to hold onto it so it doesn't drift south. :P

Thanks for stopping by for a 'chill' Linda and Shirley! :) It's not that unusual for us Shirley, and it's all melted off down here in the valley now. The mountains will keep it for... another nine months or so.

Linda our leaves aren't falling yet, barely showing autumn colors. This may speed things up...?

Thank you Eileen, Julia, Peter, Arlene and Eileen! It is a bit unusual to have snow the first days of September, but only just a bit. This will not last, it'll all be gone in the blink of an eye. (I hope) We usually get the first snow that STAYS during the first week of October.

So Peter, autumn will be back, our leaves haven't turned and fallen yet. (there I go, assuming again!)

Eileen, YOU'LL GET YOURS! :P

Oh, my gosh, Katy! Is this a usual time to start to see the snow
or is this a tad early? I have to look at an atlas and see where
Tok, AK is as I don't really know.

Anyway, great weather shot!

I've lived in Alaska since 1969. I love this wild land. The extremes of the far north shape and affect every living thing. Extremes of weather, elevation, daylight hours, isolation, flora and fauna, nothing in Nature is insignificant.I have a Davis Vantage Pro weather station, uploading to Wunderground, (Turks on the Tundra) the National Weather Service, the Citizen Weather Observation Program and MADIS (Meteorological Assimilation Data Ingest System).
