Thank you Larry, Max and Gil.

I don't know how it happened Larry, I guess the approvers did the trick, this is in the mobile gallery now.

Love your sense of humor. Now if you can figure out how to get the really stubborn "staying and loving it" type to come back down here, let me know! LOL Congrats!

Thanks Eileen! The sourdoughs really hit the road when temps dip below zero! If they wait until it's -60, they get 'frozen in time' and can't leave until spring!

Thank you very much Julia! :) So many things in the world to make us smile!

This is an ipad image... (you can tell by the exif) ... anyone know how I can get this into the mobile gallery? Ticking the cell phone category doesn't work... as far as I know, ipads are part of the mobile gallery. I've been wrong before! [:\

I've lived in Alaska since 1969. I love this wild land. The extremes of the far north shape and affect every living thing. Extremes of weather, elevation, daylight hours, isolation, flora and fauna, nothing in Nature is insignificant.I have a Davis Vantage Pro weather station, uploading to Wunderground, (Turks on the Tundra) the National Weather Service, the Citizen Weather Observation Program and MADIS (Meteorological Assimilation Data Ingest System).
