Tok, AK (Current Weather Conditions)

Caption: Aurora forecast was low so I didn't expect to see much. Skies were nice and clear, and did produce a bit of glow in the far north.

So pretty! I've put this on my screen as the background (with a black border) so I can see the stars sparkling through the beautiful colors. Lovely! Thanks for sharing.

Actually Mitch, it was incredibly warm. Up in the high plus 20s, quite unprecedented for my area in January. I don't have to be brave at all, 'robe and slippers' weather.

Thanks for stopping by Mitch and Elaine!

I've lived in Alaska since 1969. I love this wild land. The extremes of the far north shape and affect every living thing. Extremes of weather, elevation, daylight hours, isolation, flora and fauna, nothing in Nature is insignificant.I have a Davis Vantage Pro weather station, uploading to Wunderground, (Turks on the Tundra) the National Weather Service, the Citizen Weather Observation Program and MADIS (Meteorological Assimilation Data Ingest System).
