Caption: It came upon the midnight clear
That glorious song of old
From angels bending near the Earth
To touch their harps of gold
Peace on the Earth, goodwill toward Men
From Heaven's all gracious King
The world in solemn stillness lay
To hear the angels sing!

You captured the feeling so well Katy. I was driving home last night and the moon was so bright I couldn't tell if my headlights were on, the snow, trees and sky and such a peaceful beauty...you got it perfectly!

Thank you Heidrun and Nancy. Yes Nancy, the words of that song were definitely in my heart while I was out there. Midnight clear, solemn stillness. And I could 'see' in my mind, the angels bending near the earth... (oh gosh, I'm getting all poetic...)

Thanks for your beautiful photo and for including one of the loveliest carols, which fits it perfectly. That's a picture of "solemn stillness".
