One angry dragon. Glad he's 'sleeping' now.

Great series, Katy! Wish I could do GIFs like this; I tried but ran into problems that I considered insurmountable, and gave up. Some day!

Thank you all for taking the time to stop by and comment! Yes Kat it is beautiful and horrifying at the same time, fascinating to see but really really scary, not knowing when it will end.

BUT we've gotten over an inch of rain since I shot this, and this fire is waaay dampened down to smoldering. Hopefully this is the last we'll see of this dragon!

I've lived in Alaska since 1969. I love this wild land. The extremes of the far north shape and affect every living thing. Extremes of weather, elevation, daylight hours, isolation, flora and fauna, nothing in Nature is insignificant.I have a Davis Vantage Pro weather station, uploading to Wunderground, (Turks on the Tundra) the National Weather Service, the Citizen Weather Observation Program and MADIS (Meteorological Assimilation Data Ingest System).
