For some reason as soon as I saw this I thought of Bob Ross's mountain paintings and thought, Boy, if somebody painted this mountain with those ridges all parallel like that everybody would say it was too artificial looking. But Nature did it! It's amazing! Great picture, Katy! :-)

How can it still be fall, with sub-zero temps and ALL THAT SNOW? :)

By the end of winter, all this brush will be completely covered and it will be a smooth white expanse.

I've lived in Alaska since 1969. I love this wild land. The extremes of the far north shape and affect every living thing. Extremes of weather, elevation, daylight hours, isolation, flora and fauna, nothing in Nature is insignificant.I have a Davis Vantage Pro weather station, uploading to Wunderground, (Turks on the Tundra) the National Weather Service, the Citizen Weather Observation Program and MADIS (Meteorological Assimilation Data Ingest System).
