Thank you for visiting Gil, Susan and Maxime!

Susan when it is windy here in winter, we usually can't see any part of the mountaintops. And when it is windy any other time of year, (which isn't very often) these mountains about 6-8 miles away don't have snow.

Kind of a treat, in this 'in between' weather!

This is very beautiful & interesting. Katy reminds me of some of our Snow Mobile trips to the high country in Montana. Used to love to sit eating lunch or resting and looking and watching the snow fly on the high peaks.

I've lived in Alaska since 1969. I love this wild land. The extremes of the far north shape and affect every living thing. Extremes of weather, elevation, daylight hours, isolation, flora and fauna, nothing in Nature is insignificant.I have a Davis Vantage Pro weather station, uploading to Wunderground, (Turks on the Tundra) the National Weather Service, the Citizen Weather Observation Program and MADIS (Meteorological Assimilation Data Ingest System).
